A smart meter or CT clamp reports your building consumption every 5 seconds. Novion supports Modbus TCP, Shelly Pro 3EM, generic HTTP JSON, and a built-in simulator for testing.
Available power = your contracted capacity minus current building load minus a 1 kW safety margin. The engine recalculates every cycle and distributes headroom equally across all online chargers.
Novion sends OCPP SetChargingProfile commands to each charger with updated power limits. If building load spikes, chargers throttle down within 5 seconds. When load drops, they ramp back up.
Without DLM, 10 chargers at 7.4 kW each need 74 kW of grid capacity — which means an expensive infrastructure upgrade. With Novion DLM, those same 10 chargers share whatever capacity is available, and every vehicle still charges on time.
